In response to increasing queries related to trans-Tasman travel, travelers can now book ground transport in New Zealand directly via the Cars on Demand website (or by calling the 1300 number in case of an emergency request). We operate daily in both Auckland and Wellington and can also organize your ground transport to and from any location in both the North and South Islands of NZ.

SUPER FAST ON-LINE BOOKINGBack to Top

Cars on Demand website has been built using state of art technology that allows you super fast, real-time access to bookings from anywhere in the world. You can make a new booking within 15 seconds by taking advantage of user friendly functions like pre-population of the member details, the Return Trip option and the Favorite Destinations drop down menu (showing up to 10 favorite locations of your choice).

You can review your booking history at any time to check on pending trips, edit or cancel a trip. Please note, if you are cancelling a trip within 8 hours of the pick-up time you will not be able to do that on-line and will have to call us on 1300 638 258. Also note, cancellations less than 8 hours prior to pick up time will attract a cancellation fee, please see Terms & Conditions for details.

All on-line bookings will be confirmed within 2 hours. Currently the average confirmation rate is within 15 min. The confirmation will be sent to you via email to your nominated “email confirmations” address (as specified in the member profile).

1300 EMERGENCY ASSIST NUMBERBack to Top

Cars on Demand has a 24/7 emergency assist service which members & EA/PAs can access by calling 1300 638 258. This service should be used for the following scenarios:

Urgent bookings (less than 1 hour from pick-up time)
Urgent cancellations (less than 8 hours from pick-up time)
Bookings where there is no access to the internet
When a traveler cannot find their driver
(please note if a traveler leaves a pickup point without calling the 1300 number full trip charges will apply).
Any other matter requiring urgent attention

For queries related to using the website or making a booking, EAs can call the 1300 number during office hours
(9am – 5pm) Australia EDT. Outside that time and for any non-urgent support requirements you can email your query/request to admin@carsondemand.com.au and you will receive a response within 24 hours.

VIRTUAL PAYMENT SOLUTIONBack to Top

Cars on Demand has partnered with Westpac Banking Corporation for a custom-built secure virtual payment system. This means that travelers will never need to produce cards for payment at the end of a trip. All payments are facilitated automatically via the internet. Click here for more information about our secure virtual payment. This will greatly reduce fraud & errors in the ground transport expenses category. This means you will spend LESS time each month reconciling taxi & hire car charges.

RECEIPTS EMAILED TO YOUBack to Top

Once a trip is taken, a receipt will be automatically email to your nominated “email confirmations” address (as specified in the member profile). You can also access a copy of that receipt on-line by going to Member Profile – Booking History - & clicking on the printer icon beside a particular booking. This means you will never have a missing receipt for any Cars on Demand booking.

CONSOLIDATED RECEIPT REPORTBack to Top

Frequent travellers can quickly accumulate a large number of ground transport related receipts in any given month. Keeping a file full of receipts and managing them manually for the month-end expense report is a thing of the past. No MORE pasting receipts onto A4 paper, manually adding trip details, scanning, copying or chasing lost receipts. When you travel with Cars on Demand, you can print a consolidated report of all your receipts at the end of the month (or any other period you specify) - simply with the click of a button.This will save you from you having to print and attach individual receipts to your month-end-expense reports. Again you can do this on-line by going to Member Profile – Booking History – and clicking the View Receipt Report icon on the top right hand side of the user window.

BOOKINGS FOR VISITING GUESTSBack to Top

You can easily book for visiting guest using one of two options:

1. Guest being paid for by one of your existing members:

Log in under the profile of the member who will pay for the trip. Make a new booking.
Type in the passengers details (you will have to type over the members name & contact number which automatically appear in the Passenger Name and Passenger Contact fields)
Complete all other relevant details

Once the trip is taken, the charge will automatically be made to the member’s credit card and a receipt emailed showing the guest passenger details.

2. Guest paying for themselves:

Go to Non-Member bookings
Create a booking with all relevant details

Please note, all non-member bookings need to be secured by credit card. In order to secure your booking a Cars on Demand operator will contact you for a credit card number, and a pre-authorisation will be made to ensure the card is valid and current. Once the trip is taken, the nominated credit card will be charged and a receipt will be emailed.

EVENT MANAGEMENT – GROUND TRANSPORT COORDINATIONBack to Top

Cars on Demand cater for special corporate events and coordinate the secure and elegant transport of your staff and/or clients from your function back to their chosen destinations. This service is very popular around the November and December busy festive season, especially for functions in remote locations. For large or VIP events, a Cars on Demand coordinator will be physically present at your event location directing ground transport as agreed. Please contact us if you wish to discuss ground transport coordination as part of an event.
