Sydney Airport to White Bay in about 35 minutes, via the correct James Craig Road entry, at a fixed price
Cars on Demand runs private chauffeur transfers to and from White Bay Cruise Terminal on James Craig Road, Rozelle. From Sydney Airport the trip is about 15 km and usually takes 30 to 40 minutes. We track your flight, meet you at T1 International, T2 or T3 Qantas Domestic, load your cruise luggage into a car sized for it, and drop you directly outside the terminal at a fixed price agreed when you book. No surge pricing on ship days, no taxi queue, no wrong turn at the Robert Street gate.
Your fare is locked in when you book. It does not jump when thousands of passengers leave the ship at the same time.
We track your flight, so an early or late landing never costs you. Your chauffeur meets you at T1, T2 or T3 and handles the bags.
Every vehicle class has a set suitcase count, so you know your cruise luggage fits before the boot opens.
We use the James Craig Road entry, not the Robert Street gate that GPS apps send you to, and we time your arrival to your check-in window.
Families and groups travel together in a People Mover or Minibus, instead of splitting across rideshares that arrive at different times.
99.99% on time, 24/7 support on 1300 638 258, and free cancellation up to 4 hours before pickup.
Cruise suitcases are bigger than business luggage, and most cruise transfers go wrong on bags, not seats. Count your large suitcases first, then the people.

If you are driving on a cruise day, there are roads you need to avoid. Map: Port Authority of New South Wales.
White Bay is the harder of Sydney's two cruise terminals to get to, and most of the stress comes from three things.
The GPS trap. Navigation apps often route to the Robert Street gate in Balmain. On cruise days vehicles are turned away there and sent back around to The Crescent, which can add 10 to 15 minutes when you can least afford it. Our chauffeurs go straight to James Craig Road.
No train station. Unlike the Overseas Passenger Terminal, White Bay has no station nearby. Public transport means a bus connection and a walk, which is hard work with cruise luggage.
Nowhere to wait. There is no long-term parking and no luggage storage at or near the terminal, and the short stay car park has a 15 minute limit. If you arrive too early, there is not much to do except queue. A pickup timed to your check-in window solves that.
Approximate times in normal traffic. Allow extra on weekday peak mornings.
| From | Approx. drive time |
|---|---|
| Sydney Airport (T1, T2, T3) | 30 to 40 minutes |
| Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour hotels | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Inner West (Leichhardt, Newtown) | 10 to 20 minutes |
| North Sydney and Chatswood | 20 to 30 minutes |
| Northern Beaches (Manly, Dee Why) | 35 to 50 minutes |
| Parramatta and the Hills District | 30 to 50 minutes |
| Western Sydney International (WSI) | 55 to 75 minutes |
| Central Coast (Gosford) | 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes |
| Wollongong | 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes |
| Newcastle | 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes |
Trips over 90 km receive an automatic long distance discount. Your price is fixed when you book, so slow traffic never changes your fare.

White Bay handles some of the largest ships that sail from Sydney, so embarkation mornings bring a lot of cars, coaches and taxis into one access road at the same time. We plan your pickup so you arrive inside your cruise line's check-in window, rather than joining the early queue with nowhere to wait.
The drop-off is a two minute stop directly outside the terminal, for passengers and bags only. Have your passports, boarding documents and hand luggage ready as we pull in. Inside, there is a cafe, and family seeing you off can wave goodbye from the arrivals area or the cafe patio.
Flying in on the day? Because White Bay has no luggage storage, landing early is not a problem with a chauffeur: we can time the drive, or book you as an hourly hire so your bags stay in the car until check-in opens.
Flight tracking. We track your flight. Land early or late and your pickup moves with it, so you still make the ship.

Lots of cruise luggage? When you book, set ‘Delay driver arrival by’ so your chauffeur arrives once your bags are off the carousel. Your free waiting time starts then: 30 minutes for domestic flights, 60 for international.
Disembarkation is where a booking matters most. When a large ship empties, thousands of passengers want a car at once. Rideshare prices climb with demand, the taxi rank queue grows, and with no parking or storage nearby there is nowhere comfortable to wait it out.
Book your pickup for the time your cruise line gives you for leaving the ship. Your chauffeur will be in touch by SMS on the morning and meet you outside the front of the terminal. The first 10 minutes of waiting are complimentary, and waiting time after that is charged per minute.
Flying out the same day? Domestic flights from T2 or T3 usually connect comfortably after an early disembarkation. For international flights from T1, allow extra time for check-in and security.

White Bay Cruise Terminal is on James Craig Road in Rozelle, in Sydney's Inner West, about 4 km west of the CBD.
About 15 km. A private transfer usually takes 30 to 40 minutes in normal traffic.
Only via The Crescent and James Craig Road. Vehicles cannot enter via Robert Street in Balmain or Grafton Street, even if a GPS app suggests it.
Outside the front of the terminal. Your chauffeur will contact you by SMS on the morning of disembarkation.
Not for the length of a cruise. The car park is for short stay pickups only, with a 15 minute maximum, and there is no long-term parking nearby.
No. There is no luggage storage at or near the terminal, so time your arrival to your check-in window or keep your bags in the car with an hourly booking.
There is no train station near White Bay. Public transport involves a bus connection and a walk, so most passengers with cruise luggage use a taxi or a pre-booked transfer.
Executive and Premium Sedans fit 2 suitcases, a Premium SUV fits 3 large suitcases and a People Mover fits 6. If you have more than two large suitcases, book a Premium SUV or People Mover so everything travels in one car. Groups of up to 11 can book a Minibus.
Book both legs now and your car will be waiting outside the terminal when you come home.
