Three NSW shows: Afterpay Arena in Sydney on Thursday 14 October, then Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October 2027.

Quick answer: Cars on Demand is one of the only chauffeur companies in Australia where you can get an instant quote online, book in seconds and receive instant confirmation, even as late as an hour before your trip, then track the car in our app and message your actual driver. For Nickelback at Afterpay Arena, Sydney Olympic Park (Thursday 14 October 2027) and Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley (Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October 2027), that means a fixed-price private car to the show and a chauffeur waiting to take you home. Can't find Hunter Valley accommodation? We can drive you up from Sydney and bring you back the same night.

Nickelback's Everything Under The Sun Tour finishes in NSW with three shows in four days, all with Don Broco as special guests. There is an arena night at Sydney Olympic Park, then two outdoor shows in the vines at Roche Estate in Pokolbin, presented by Lookout. Whether you're seeing one show or all three, this guide covers getting to Afterpay Arena, getting from Sydney to the Hunter Valley and back, and the pickup times that work for each.

Key takeaways

  • Sydney: Afterpay Arena (formerly Qudos Bank Arena), 19 Edwin Flack Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, on Thursday 14 October 2027. Expect weeknight peak-hour traffic on the way in and around 20,000 people leaving together.
  • Hunter Valley: Roche Estate, corner of Broke Road and McDonalds Road, Pokolbin, on Saturday 16 October (sold out) and Sunday 17 October 2027. Gates open at 2:30pm.
  • No Hunter accommodation? Book a same-night return from Sydney to Pokolbin and sleep in your own bed.
  • One app for every leg: Afterpay Arena, the Hunter Valley and Sydney Airport, all booked and tracked in the Cars on Demand app.
  • Every booking is a fixed price confirmed at booking. Book early to lock in your rate before event-night pricing applies.

Nickelback at Afterpay Arena: Getting to Sydney Olympic Park

Afterpay Arena is Australia's largest indoor arena, and a Thursday night show means two challenges: Western Sydney peak-hour traffic on the way in, and a full house of around 20,000 people trying to leave Olympic Park at the same time. Here is how the options compare.

TrainOlympic Park station, usually via Lidcombe, then a short walkLong, marshalled queues when the arena empties, and tight late connectionsOpal fareSolo fans near the rail network

Recommended pickup times for Afterpay Arena

Show times for the Sydney date haven't been announced yet. As a guide, aim to arrive at Sydney Olympic Park 60 to 90 minutes before the ticketed start, and allow extra time because it's a Thursday:

  • Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs and North Shore: leave around 75 to 90 minutes before you want to arrive.
  • Parramatta, the Hills District and the Inner West: leave around 45 to 60 minutes before you want to arrive.
  • After the show: book your return at the same time, so your chauffeur is already in the precinct before the encore.

See our Sydney Olympic Park pickup procedures for how our chauffeurs manage big-event nights, or read our Afterpay Arena concert transport guide for more on trains, parking and rideshare at Olympic Park.

Nickelback at Roche Estate: Sydney to the Hunter Valley

Pokolbin is roughly two to two and a half hours from Sydney by road, mostly on the M1 Pacific Motorway and the Hunter Expressway. The organisers say on-site parking is limited, with delays expected getting in and out, and the event has a no pass out policy, so plan to stay for the full day.

Event bus details are on the Lookout event page. Buses work well if you are staying on a route, and less well if you are heading back to Sydney.

No accommodation? Sydney to Pokolbin and back the same night

With two shows on the same weekend, Hunter Valley accommodation will go fast. If you can't find a bed in Pokolbin or Cessnock, you don't need one. Book a same-night return transfer:

  1. Late morning pickup in Sydney from your home, hotel or office.
  2. Straight to Roche Estate in time for the 2:30pm gates, with your camp chair in the boot.
  3. Pickup after the encore. Your chauffeur messages you the agreed pickup point near the venue.
  4. Home the same night. Relax in the back seat while someone else drives the M1. Plan to be home in the early hours.

Sydney to Pokolbin is a long-distance trip, and journeys over 90km receive 10% off, rising to 15% off over 180km. Your instant quote will show which applies to your route.

Staying in the Hunter? Local transfers to Roche Estate

Already have a room? We run local transfers to the gates and back from Pokolbin and Cessnock, Maitland, Kurri Kurri and Branxton, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie (including Newcastle Airport arrivals at Williamtown) and the Central Coast, so nobody in your group needs to drive.

Nickelback Sydney and Hunter Valley Transport FAQs

When is Nickelback playing in Sydney?

Nickelback play Afterpay Arena at Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday 14 October 2027, then Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October 2027.

What is the best way to get to Afterpay Arena for Nickelback?

The train to Olympic Park is the cheapest option, but queues after a full arena show can be long. A pre-booked chauffeur takes you door to door and waits at an agreed pickup point after the show, away from the train and taxi queues.

Is Afterpay Arena the same as Qudos Bank Arena?

Yes. Qudos Bank Arena at Sydney Olympic Park is now called Afterpay Arena. Same venue, now at 19 Edwin Flack Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park.

How do I get from Sydney to Nickelback at Roche Estate?

You can drive, take an event bus where a route suits you, or book a private chauffeur. A pre-booked chauffeur is the only door-to-door option that also has your ride home confirmed before the show starts.

Can I go to the Hunter Valley concert and come back to Sydney the same night?

Yes. Book a same-night return and your chauffeur drives you from Sydney to Roche Estate and brings you home after the show, so you don't need Hunter Valley accommodation.

How far is Pokolbin from Sydney?

Roughly two to two and a half hours by road via the M1 Pacific Motorway and the Hunter Expressway. Allow extra time on concert day for weekend traffic and queues at the venue.

How much is a limo or chauffeur to Nickelback in Sydney or the Hunter Valley?

It depends on your pickup address, vehicle and whether you book a return. Every booking is a fixed price confirmed at booking, and long-distance discounts apply to Hunter Valley trips: 10% off journeys over 90km and 15% off over 180km. Get your instant quote to see your exact price in seconds.

What time do gates open for Nickelback at Roche Estate?

Gates open at 2:30pm on both Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October 2027. Set times are still to be confirmed.

Can I track my car and contact my driver?

Yes. Track the car live in the Cars on Demand app and message your actual driver, which makes finding each other after the show much easier.
