Simon Kalipciyan, 3 October 2026

Quick answer: On Saturday 17 October 2026, Sydney hosts three major events at once: the Bledisloe Cup quadruple-header at Accor Stadium (Wallabies v All Blacks at 3:45pm), TAB Everest Day at Royal Randwick (public gates 10:30am, last race 6:10pm) and Anyma presents ÆDEN at The Domain. Take the train to Olympic Park for the rugby (P1 parking is sold out), the included L2 light rail to Randwick for The Everest, and a train to St James or Martin Place for Anyma. If you are flying in, hosting guests or doing two events in one day, a pre-booked chauffeur with a fixed price confirmed at booking is the only option already waiting when your event ends. Saturday 17 October is not a normal Sydney Saturday. Three of the biggest draws on the Australian calendar land on the same day, in three different corners of the city.
At Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park, Australia's four senior rugby teams share one ticket for a historic international quadruple-header, finishing with the Wallabies against the All Blacks in the second Bledisloe Cup Test of 2026. At Royal Randwick, the 10th TAB Everest goes around for $20 million, the richest race on turf in the world. At The Domain, on the edge of the CBD, Anyma brings ÆDEN to Australia for a one-off exclusive show after its live debut at Coachella.
If you are going to one of these, or hosting someone who is, the show is not the hard part. Getting there and getting home is. This guide covers every transport option for each venue, the timings that matter, and how to connect two events in one day.

Each of these events is a traffic event on its own. Together they pull crowds in three directions at once.
The organisers of ÆDEN have said they expect a significant number of fans to travel to Sydney for the show, according to Destination NSW. Add New Zealand rugby fans and interstate racing guests, and Saturday morning arrivals at Sydney Airport will be busy too.
If you are doing one event, plan the exit before you plan the outfit. If you are doing two, a pre-booked car is the only realistic way to make the connection.
The easiest way to get to Accor Stadium for the Bledisloe Cup is by train to Olympic Park Station or with a pre-booked chauffeur. Sydney Olympic Park lists P1 as sold out, so driving only works if you have already pre-booked another car park.
The four-match program runs from the Wallaroos v Scotland at midday, through the Men's and Women's Sevens, to the Wallabies v All Blacks at 3:45pm. According to Rugby Australia, it is the first time Australia's four senior Teams in Gold have played on one ticket, around 2,500 junior players will march onto the field from 3pm, and Accor Stadium hosts next year's Rugby World Cup final. Expect a big, festival-style crowd.
Olympic Park Station is the designed arrival point, a short walk from the stadium. From Central, allow 25 to 40 minutes on a normal day, and longer once event services load up. The return is the problem: after a full-house Test, the queue for the station is part of the event. Budget 45 to 90 minutes from the final whistle to a CBD platform if you leave with the main crowd.
Sydney Olympic Park has listed the P1 car park as sold out for the quadruple-header. Any other precinct parking must be pre-booked, and the system closes at 11:59pm the night before. Exit roads through Homebush Bay Drive, Australia Avenue and the M4 ramps crawl after a full stadium, so if you drive, you are either staying late or sitting in it.
Rideshare and marketplace platforms are usually fine on the way in. After the final whistle, tens of thousands of people open the same apps within minutes. Pickup pins move, drivers cancel once they see the traffic, and demand pricing kicks in. It works at 11am. At 6pm it is a coin toss.
A pre-booked chauffeur does not circle the precinct waiting for a request. Your pickup point is agreed in advance, your driver stages outside the worst of the pedestrian pinch, and your price is fixed when you book. See our Accor Stadium pickup procedures for how our chauffeurs handle big-event days at Sydney Olympic Park. For groups, interstate guests and anyone in a corporate box, that is the difference between a match day and a logistics day.
The easiest way to get to Royal Randwick for The Everest is the L2 light rail from Central to the Royal Randwick stop, included with a pre-purchased raceday ticket, or a pre-booked chauffeur drop-off and return near Alison Road.

This is the 10th running of The Everest, a 1,200m Group 1 sprint in which 12 of the world's fastest horses race for $20 million, the richest prize on turf anywhere. According to the Australian Turf Club, public gates open at 10:30am, the first race is at 12:30pm and the last race is at 6:10pm. The Everest itself runs late in the afternoon, so check the official race card in the week of the event.
According to Transport for NSW, valid pre-purchased raceday tickets and ATC memberships include travel on eligible public transport to and from the course, valid until 4am the following day. Take the L2 Randwick Line from Central (Chalmers Street) to the Royal Randwick stop on Alison Road, or the L3 Kingsford Line to Kensington and walk. Extra light rail services run between Central and Royal Randwick on carnival days.
The system is good. On Everest Day it is also full. Platforms at Central fill from late morning, and the return after the last race is the crunch, especially if you are in heels, hosting clients or carrying a long day of hospitality.
On-course parking is limited and fills early on a carnival day. Transport for NSW also offers free Park&Ride parking when you complete a public transport trip. Neither is a strategy if you need to be in the CBD, at the airport or at The Domain by early evening.
A chauffeur drop on Alison Road, or a side-street rendezvous a short walk from the gate, skips the light rail queue entirely. The return pickup is the part worth paying for, so agree the pickup point before gates open, not when the feature race is loading. Racing hospitality is rarely a solo trip, and a people mover for up to seven is usually a better fit than two sedans.
The easiest way to get to The Domain for Anyma is by train to St James or Martin Place and a short walk, or a chauffeur drop-off on Macquarie Street or College Street. There is no practical event parking, and rideshare pickups near Hospital Road are difficult after the show.

Anyma, the project of Italian-American artist Matteo Milleri, is bringing ÆDEN to Sydney as the only Australian date of the tour, backed by Destination NSW and promoter Untitled Group. Following Genesys and Quantum, ÆDEN premiered live at Coachella. Argy, Colyn, Layla Benitez and PARIS complete the bill.
St James and Martin Place are the closest train stations. Circular Quay is a longer walk but often a cleaner exit if you are willing to leave before the last track.
The Domain is a park, not a stadium with a loading dock. CBD parking that looks close on a map will be full or closed to event traffic. Rideshare only works if your driver can legally stop, and many cannot near Hospital Road, Art Gallery Road or Sir John Young Crescent. Pickup pins drop into a walking maze, drivers cancel and prices jump.
A named pickup on Macquarie Street, College Street or at a hotel entrance on the Hyde Park side is the clean version. Book your return car for 15 to 40 minutes after the advertised finish rather than the minute the music stops. The first cars out are the ones that were never inside the park.
One booking, every leg of the day
Airport, hotel, venue and home on one account. Fixed price confirmed at booking: book early to lock in your rate before event-night pricing applies. Get an instant quote.
With a pre-booked car, some combinations work. On public transport, most do not.
Leave at least 45 minutes between any venue pickup and your next drop-off, and do not try to connect Accor Stadium and The Domain on public transport the same evening.
Tip: book the outbound and return legs together. A chauffeur already positioned before the final whistle, the last race or the last track beats one fighting inbound traffic after it.
Cars on Demand has run chauffeur and airport transfers in Sydney since 1990. On a day like this the job is simple: a fixed price, an agreed pickup and a driver who already knows which gate is fiction and which side street is moving.
Browse our fleet, see minibus hire in Sydney for bigger groups, or read how executive assistants use Cars on Demand to coordinate client days on one account, with tax invoices for every trip. More options are on our Sydney event transfers page.
Many Everest and Bledisloe crowds fly in on Saturday morning, and New Zealand fans will be arriving a week after the first Test at Eden Park. Book the airport leg when you book the flight, not when you land.
Our Sydney Airport transfers are flight-tracked, so your chauffeur's timing follows your actual landing. Your driver meets you inside the terminal at T1, T2 or T3, and you can check the exact spot on our airport meeting points page. Landing at 9:40am and joining a taxi rank is how you miss the first race.
Flying from elsewhere in Australia? We also cover Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth airport transfers, so both ends of your trip sit on one account.
Best for Accor Stadium. Walkable or a short run to the gates. Parramatta adds restaurants after the match and is a short chauffeur run, but a painful rideshare at full time.
Best for Royal Randwick. Close to the course, though Alison Road and High Street are slow on raceday. Do not drive from Bondi and expect a quick exit.
Best for The Domain. You can walk to Anyma. At the end of the night, a car to a Darlinghurst or Surry Hills apartment is a better choice than the walk home through the park.
Stay central and book a car both ways. The light rail is included with your ticket, but guests in racewear will not thank you for it at 6pm.
We pick up from anywhere across Greater Sydney and regional NSW for all three events, including:
See our Sydney chauffeur service for executive and private car hire across the city.
Four matches, not a night kick-off. If you only care about the Cup you can arrive later, but if you bought the quadruple-header as a day out, eat before you reach Olympic Boulevard.
A carnival, not a single race. Hospitality is the product for much of the crowd. Check the ATC conditions of entry before you pack shoes that cannot survive Alison Road.
An immersive audiovisual production on open grass. October wind off the harbour is real, so bring a layer you can tie around your waist.
Take a train to Olympic Park Station, drive with a pre-booked parking space, or book a private chauffeur door to door. P1 is listed as sold out for the 17 October quadruple-header, so a pre-booked chauffeur or the train is the most reliable way in and out of Sydney Olympic Park.
Sydney Olympic Park lists the P1 car park as sold out for the 2026 Bledisloe Cup. Any remaining precinct parking must be pre-booked, and the pre-book system closes at 11:59pm the day before the event. Do not drive in expecting casual parking.
Catch the L2 light rail from Central (Chalmers Street) to the Royal Randwick stop, or the L3 to Kensington and walk. A valid pre-purchased raceday ticket includes public transport. For door-to-door travel, book a chauffeur drop-off and agree a return pickup point near Alison Road before gates open.
Yes. According to Transport for NSW, valid pre-purchased Everest Carnival raceday tickets include travel on eligible public transport to and from Royal Randwick, valid until 4am the following day. Show your event ticket or ATC membership when boarding.
TAB Everest Day is Saturday 17 October 2026 at Royal Randwick. Public gates open at 10:30am, the first race is at 12:30pm and the last race is at 6:10pm. The Everest itself runs in the late afternoon. Check the official Australian Turf Club race card for the confirmed start time.
St James and Martin Place are the closest train stations. There is no practical event parking, and rideshare pickups around Hospital Road and Art Gallery Road are difficult after the show. A pre-booked chauffeur with a named pickup point on Macquarie Street, College Street or at a nearby hotel is the cleanest way home.
Yes, with a pre-booked car. Leave Royal Randwick before the last race, with a pickup around 5:15pm from a pre-agreed point, and your chauffeur can have you at a CBD hotel or the edge of The Domain in the early evening. Allow at least 45 minutes between the Randwick pickup and the Domain drop-off.
It depends on your pickup suburb, vehicle and whether you book one way or return. Cars on Demand gives you a fixed price confirmed at booking. Use the instant quote at carsondemand.com.au/instant-quote, and book early to lock in your rate before event-day pricing applies.
Yes. Cars on Demand tracks your flight, meets you inside the terminal at T1, T2 or T3 and drives you to your hotel, Royal Randwick or Accor Stadium. Book the airport leg when you book your flight, as Saturday morning arrivals into Sydney are busy on Everest and Bledisloe day.
Executive sedans suit one to three passengers, SUVs suit small groups with extra room, people movers carry up to seven, and minibuses suit larger racing, rugby or corporate groups travelling together.
