Quick answer: Hans Zimmer plays Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Boondall on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October 2026, with a 7:30pm start (subject to change). The venue is about 16km north of the Brisbane CBD and 8km from Brisbane Airport. Hans Zimmer is bringing his new arena production, Hans Zimmer Live: The Next Level, to Brisbane for two nights. The music is the easy part. Getting in and out of Boondall with a sold-out arena crowd is where the night is won or lost.
This guide covers the show details, the venue, every realistic way to get there and home, and how a pre-booked private car or limo service takes the guesswork out of the night, whether you live in Brisbane or are flying in for the concert.

The first Brisbane show sold out, which is why a second and final night was added for Wednesday 21 October. According to the promoter, The Next Level played 50 sold-out arena shows across 17 European countries to around 600,000 fans before heading to Australia.
This is a crowd that does not usually buy arena tickets. Film fans come for Gladiator, Interstellar, The Dark Knight or Dune. Couples book it as a night out. Interstate visitors build a Brisbane stop around it. That mix matters for transport, because a Zimmer crowd leaves in groups, often with one person who drove, one who flew in that afternoon and someone who would rather not stand on a station platform at 11pm.
The Centre sits in parkland off the Gateway Motorway and Bicentennial Road, not in a city grid. That makes it easy to reach if you arrive early. It also means almost everyone leaves through the same few exits at the same time.
Full details are on the venue's Getting Here page.
The train is the cheapest way in, driving is simple until the car park empties, and taxis and rideshare get harder after the encore. A pre-booked chauffeur is the only option that is confirmed before you leave and already waiting when the show finishes.
| Option | Cost | Getting there | Getting home | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Train | Low, standard Translink fare | Shorncliffe line to Boondall, then a 600m walk | Late finishes may miss connecting services. Check Translink on the day. | Solo fans with no luggage living near the rail network |
| Drive and park | $18 per visit plus fuel and tolls | Straightforward if you arrive early | Queues to exit the car park after the show. Someone stays sober. | Northside locals happy to wait |
| Taxi | Metered | Usually fine on the way in | On-site rank with a supervisor, but a long line when the arena empties | Short trips when the queue is small |
| Rideshare | App fare, rises with demand | Usually fine on the way in | Pick-up in Car Park 5, with higher prices and longer waits after a sold-out show | Flexible plans and short trips |
| Pre-booked chauffeur or limo serviceRECOMMENDED | Fixed price confirmed at booking | Door to door from your home, hotel or Brisbane Airport | Chauffeur tracking the finish and meeting you at an agreed pick-up point | Couples, groups, corporate guests and interstate visitors |
On the way in, the train is the cleanest public transport option. Shorncliffe line services run from the Brisbane CBD to Boondall, followed by the 600m walk. Coming from Brisbane Airport, the usual pattern is the Airtrain to Eagle Junction and a change to a Shorncliffe line service.
The way home is the catch. The venue itself warns that because of the finishing time of some events, some services departing Boondall may not make their connections. Plan your trip on the Translink website or call 13 12 30 on the day.
At $18, parking looks cheap next to a chauffeur, and for northside locals it can be. The trade-off comes after the encore, when thousands of cars try to reach Sandgate Road and the Gateway Motorway at once. If you drive, decide on your exit route before the show.
If you are flying in, a hire car is a poor fit. You pay for the car and the parking, then drive home after 11pm instead of relaxing.
The taxi rank is a genuine option, and a supervisor is rostered after events. It is still a queue. Rideshare pick-up is in Car Park 5, not at the front doors, and after a sold-out arena show prices rise and waits stretch as everyone books at once.
A pre-booked chauffeur is arranged before the lights go down, priced before you travel and waiting when the house lights come up. Cars on Demand has provided chauffeur and Brisbane airport transfers since 1990, with a 99.99% on-time reliability record across our national network. Your fare is a fixed price confirmed at booking, so book early to lock in your rate before event-night pricing applies.
Brisbane Airport is only about 8km from the venue, which tempts people to fly in on the afternoon of the show. Add security screening, the Gateway Motorway at peak hour and a 7:30pm start, and that short distance leaves little margin.

Allow extra time on both nights. Tuesday and Wednesday are working weekdays, so early evening traffic on the roads north of the CBD is heavier.
| Time | What to do |
|---|---|
| 4:30 to 5:00pm | Leave Brisbane Airport if you are going straight to the show. Better still, land earlier and drop your bags at your hotel first. |
| 5:15 to 5:45pm | Chauffeur pick-up from a Brisbane CBD, Spring Hill or Fortitude Valley hotel |
| 6:00 to 6:20pm | Arrive at Boondall and use the drop-off zone |
| 6:20 to 7:15pm | Security, merchandise and finding your seat. VIP holders should still arrive early for priority check-in. |
| 7:30pm | Scheduled start (subject to change) |
| From about 10:30pm (estimate) | The running time is not published. Book your return as a concert finish rather than a fixed time. |
Tip: book your outbound and return legs together. Your chauffeur is then already positioned in the precinct before the encore, rather than fighting inbound traffic after it. Message your driver as the final pieces begin, not once you are standing outside.

| Your group | Recommended vehicle | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Couples and date nights | Executive sedan | Quiet and comfortable, with dinner in the city before the show |
| Small groups or airport arrivals | Premium SUV | More room for passengers and luggage |
| Friends and families of 5 to 7 | People mover | Everyone arrives and leaves together, at one fixed price |
| Corporate hospitality and client nights | Several coordinated sedans or people movers | One booking and one invoice, ideal for executive assistants organising client entertainment |

The closest bed to the venue. Ideal if you land on the day of the show and fly out the next morning, especially after the Tuesday night concert.
Best if the concert is part of a longer Brisbane stay, with plenty of dinner options before the show. Allow extra time for the run north.
A shorter trip to and from Boondall, and a sensible choice if you want to be home soon after the encore.
Coming from further afield? A private car means nobody has to drive the M1 or the Bruce Highway late at night after the show. We cover Gold Coast transfers and Sunshine Coast transfers as well as Brisbane.
The promoter describes The Next Level as a new architectural stage concept that blends electronic sound design with large-scale orchestration. Zimmer performs with a 19-piece band, and Lisa Gerrard, who co-composed the Gladiator score with him, is among the vocalists.
His catalogue includes Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Mission: Impossible, The Lion King, F1 and Dune. The exact setlist is not published, so treat any list as a guide. What matters for planning is that the opening is staged as part of the production. Missing it in a car park queue is the costly way to be late.
The Australian tour also visits RAC Arena in Perth (12 October), AEC Arena in Adelaide (15 October), Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (24 and 25 October) and Afterpay Arena in Sydney (28 and 29 October). Cars on Demand covers every stop, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney airport transfers.
