Quick answer: Private jets in Sydney use two main airports. Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport at Mascot handles larger and international business jets through ExecuJet, its sole private aviation terminal (FBO). Bankstown Airport, about 25 km south-west of the CBD, is Sydney's main general aviation airport, with 24-hour FBOs including Navair and Falconair. Camden Airport serves smaller aircraft, and the new Western Sydney International Airport does not handle private jets. Cars on Demand chauffeurs meet private flyers at all of them, at a fixed price confirmed when you book. Get an instant quote.
When you fly privately into Sydney, the last few kilometres matter as much as the flight. The aircraft lands on time, the FBO has you through in minutes, and then everything depends on the car. This guide explains where private jets land in Sydney, which private terminals operate at each airport, and how to arrange a chauffeur who is ready when you are.

Sydney has several airports that handle private aircraft, but the right one depends on the size of the aircraft, where it is flying from and where you are going once you land.
| Airport | Location | Private aviation facilities | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sydney Kingsford Smith (SYD) | Mascot, about 12 km from the city centre | ExecuJet Sydney, the airport's sole FBO | Large-cabin and international business jets, CBD and Eastern Suburbs arrivals |
| Bankstown (BWU) | About 25 km south-west of the CBD, beside the M5 | Navair, Falconair and Secure Air Charter FBOs | Light and midsize jets, charter flights, western and southern Sydney |
| Camden (CDU) | About 60 km south-west of the CBD | General aviation airport with flight schools and private hangars | Smaller private aircraft, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands |
| Western Sydney International (WSI) | Badgerys Creek | No general aviation facilities at launch | Commercial airline passengers only |
ExecuJet Sydney is the private aviation terminal at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, located at Hangar 394, Ross Smith Avenue, Mascot. In February 2026, ExecuJet was appointed the sole FBO operator at Sydney International Airport, so if you are flying a business jet into Mascot, this is almost certainly where you will arrive.
The facility has a VIP lounge, private meeting rooms and a dedicated ramp and customer service team, and handles customs for international private arrivals by arrangement. Its location is the big advantage: you are about 12 km from the city centre, close to the CBD, the Eastern Suburbs and the harbour.

Bankstown is Sydney's primary general aviation airport and the home of much of the city's private charter flying. It sits about 25 km south-west of the CBD and 17 km west of Sydney Airport, close to the M5 Motorway, and its operator Aeria says it is within 30 minutes' drive of both the Sydney CBD and Parramatta.
Airservices Australia's aerodrome directory lists three FBOs at Bankstown:
Bankstown's runways are shorter than Sydney Airport's, so it is best suited to light and midsize jets and turboprops. Larger long-range jets generally use Mascot. If you are not sure which airport your aircraft will use, your charter operator or flight department will confirm it.
Bankstown is well placed for Parramatta, the Hills District, the Inner West and southern Sydney, and the M5 gives a direct run towards the city. Add your FBO to your booking and your chauffeur will meet you at the lounge or the point your FBO approves.
Camden Airport, about 60 km south-west of the CBD, is a general aviation airport run by the same operator as Bankstown. It is home to flight schools, aero clubs and private hangars, and suits smaller private aircraft rather than business jets. It is a practical arrival point for Camden, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, and your chauffeur can take you on to the city or further afield.
No, not at launch. Western Sydney International opened to passenger flights on 25 October 2026, but the airport has said its launch operations do not include general aviation facilities. That means business jets and other private aircraft use Sydney Airport, Bankstown or Camden instead.
If you or your guests are flying commercial into the new airport, see our Western Sydney Airport transfers.
Once your chauffeur is dispatched, the Cars on Demand app shows the car's live location, route and arrival time. If your aircraft has in-flight Wi-Fi, you can watch it head to your FBO before you land.
Scheduled airline flights are tracked automatically by our RideMinder platform, powered by Cirium aviation data. Private and charter flights keep their own schedule, so if your ETA changes, update it in the app or call our 24/7 team on 1300 638 258 and your chauffeur's timing moves with you. Heading north of the harbour or up to the Northern Beaches? Tell us your destination and timing and your chauffeur plans the route around traffic and tolls.
Flying into Bankstown puts you well placed for Parramatta, Castle Hill and Sydney's west.
Plenty of private flyers head straight out of town to a vineyard, a country estate or a regional business. Journeys over 90 km receive 10% off. See our long-distance transfers.

Private jet passengers rarely book their own car. Ground transport is usually arranged by an executive assistant, a flight coordinator, a charter broker or a family office. Cars on Demand is built for exactly that.
